The last time we did this ride was on Saturday, October 12.
Saturday promises delightful weather for a bike ride. 64-74 degrees, brilliant sunshine, and wind N to NE at 7-8 mph. We will head out into the wind to give us a tailwind for most of the ride back.
There are two changes to the posted route:
1. The break will be at Paradise Rec at mile 18.4. This is after the loop and just before we exit the Historic Section.
2. After we exit the Historic Section we stay on Avenida Central (DO NOT TURN LEFT on Paige Place) until we get to Del Mar and then we TURN RIGHT and are back on course.
Please remember the expectation for ride pace: 17-18 unless we are
passing another group,
going downhill, or with a tail wind. For those exceptions, please keep
the pace civilized. Civilized means 20ish. If you are unable to meet
this expectation, please do not get on the front or you may lead a faster paced ride group.
